Photo Alliance's One World Portfolio review is happening in March. You show your pics to lots of editors and gallerists etc etc. The deadline to apply is Feb. 15th. I did it last year, and although it didn't catapult me to fame and fortune I actually found it really worthwhile. Check out Photo Alliance's website for more info.
